TRADEMARK AND BRAND USAGE GUIDELINES

For Frontier Girls Troops, Quest Clubs, Groups, and Members

Curiosity Untamed LLC welcomes the use of the Frontier Girls, Quest Clubs, and Curiosity Untamed names, logos, and program materials by active Licensees — within certain limits. These Guidelines explain what you can do without asking permission, what requires our written permission first, and what we are not able to permit at all.

These Guidelines are provided for convenience, are incorporated into the Terms and Conditions and Limited License Agreement (“TOS”) by reference, and do not replace, and are subject to, the TOS and, where applicable, the Group, Club, and Troop Membership Agreement. If anything here conflicts with those documents, the TOS and Group, Club, and Troop Membership Agreement control.

Our trademarks include “Curiosity Untamed™,” “Frontier Girls™,” “Quest Clubs™,” and their associated logos, badge designs, and clipart (the “Trademarks”). Our materials include our badge curriculum, handbooks, forms, training materials, and other Content, as defined in the TOS (together with the Trademarks, the “Materials”).

Uses That Don’t Require Permission

Casual Reference. You may refer to Curiosity Untamed, Frontier Girls, or Quest Clubs by name in the text of a blog post, social media post, or comment.
Printed Promotional Materials. You may use our Trademarks on posters, flyers, invitations, emails, and presentation slides promoting your own Group, Club, or Troop. Use the ™ symbol for the first use only in a given piece.
Linking. You may link to curiosityuntamed.com, frontiergirls.com, or questclubs.com for informational purposes. We prefer that you link to our site rather than copy or reprint our material on yours.
Educational Purposes. You may refer to our program names in research papers and educational presentations about the programs. Reproduction of our logos or proprietary artwork requires written permission unless otherwise permitted by these Guidelines.
Social Media. Your Group, Club, or Troop may use “Frontier Girls” or “Quest Clubs” as part of a social media account name, provided your Group’s, Club’s, or Troop’s own name, assigned tracking number, is included and is at least as prominent, so it is clear the account belongs to an independently operated Group, Club, or Troop and is not an official account of or operated by Curiosity Untamed LLC.
Group, Club, and Troop Websites. A currently licensed Group, Club, or Troop may use the applicable Curiosity Untamed, Frontier Girls, or Quest Clubs names and permitted branding on its independently operated website, subject to these Guidelines and the TOS. The website must clearly identify the Group, Club, or Troop operating it and must not state or imply that the website is owned, operated, sponsored, or maintained by Curiosity Untamed LLC. Any Frontier Girls Troop website must clearly display its assigned tracking number as part of the Troop’s identification.
Non-Commercial Mentions. You may refer to Curiosity Untamed, Frontier Girls, or Quest Clubs descriptively in a non-commercial blog, forum, publication, or similar project. You may not use “Curiosity Untamed,” “Frontier Girls,” or “Quest Clubs” as the primary name, title, branding, or domain name of an independently operated website, forum, group, publication, or other project without prior written permission.
Handmade Goods and Craft Projects. Your Group, Club, or Troop may use our names, program names, and clipart on badge-related crafts, posters, decorations, and similar handmade, non-commercial projects. We’d love to see photos of the finished projects.
Videos. You may create videos of your Group’s, Club’s, or Troop’s activities and events for non-commercial use, such as award ceremonies. Please include this statement in the video: “Curiosity Untamed, Frontier Girls, and Quest Clubs logos, clipart, and materials are trademarks or copyrighted materials of Curiosity Untamed LLC. Used with permission.”

Uniforms, Pins, and Merchandise

We sell Frontier Girls and Quest Clubs uniform components, pins, patches, and other program merchandise directly. To keep these items consistent, and to protect the members who rely on them being genuine, we do not grant permission for Groups, Clubs, or Troops to independently produce apparel, pins, patches, or other physical merchandise bearing our Trademarks. Your Group, Club, or Troop is welcome to create its own apparel or items for its own personal use, provided our Trademarks and logos are used along with the assigned tracking number or identifying information. No commercial license is granted.

Event Exception. If your Group, Club, or Troop is hosting a specific event and would like to produce a one-time event shirt using our name alongside your Group’s, Club’s, or Troop’s own identifying information, contact us at info@curiosityuntamed.com with sample artwork for review. If approved, we will issue a short written permission specific to that event. These shirts may not be sold or distributed outside your own Group, Club, or Troop.

Uses That Require Written Permission

Contact us at info@curiosityuntamed.com with a description of what you’d like to do and your Group’s, Club’s, or Troop’s name. Examples of uses that typically need permission include custom signage or banners beyond your own promotional materials, and retirement or honor awards for a leader. Please allow two to three weeks for a response. We ask that requests come to us in writing (email) rather than by phone, so we can track and respond to them consistently.

Uses We Cannot Permit

Modifying our logos, clipart, or Trademarks in any way.
Creating products for sale : You may not offer for sale or sell any item bearing our Trademarks, including our names, logos, badge designs, or clipart or other Content.
Using our badge curriculum or other Content to create, support, or operate another program or curriculum outside the uses authorized by your Membership and the TOS.
Using our name or Trademarks as part of a domain name, except for a currently licensed Group, Club, or Troop website permitted under these Guidelines. Any domain name using “Frontier Girls” must include the Troop’s assigned tracking number.
Copying or redistributing our music, videos, or other copyrighted materials outside the uses described above.

Reservation of Rights

These Guidelines describe common situations, but they don’t cover everything, and following them does not waive our legal rights. Even where a use is described above as not requiring permission, we reserve the right to ask you to stop if, in our judgment, that use risks weakening or diluting our Trademarks or Content.
