Frontier Girls Program Options
Whether you plan to participate as an individual or within a troop, Frontier Girls has a structure that will suit your needs. Age levels range from preschool through adult, and the program is designed specifically for multiple ages to learn, explore, and work together.
Join a Troop
Joining a troop is the most popular way to participate in Frontier Girls. Girls meet regularly to work on badges, participate in activities, complete service projects, and enjoy spending time together. Because Frontier Girls is designed as a multi-age program, girls from preschool through high school can participate in the same troop, giving older girls opportunities to lead and mentor while younger girls benefit from their example.
Every Frontier Girls troop is independently organized and operated and is not part of Curiosity Untamed LLC. Each troop determines its own size, ages served, meeting schedule, activities, and whether it is accepting new members.
If you are looking for a local troop, email info@curiosityuntamed.com and let us know what city you are in. If there are troops nearby, we will forward your information and ask them to contact you. Since each troop has its own structure and policies, placement cannot be guaranteed. If you can’t find a troop that works for your family, you are always welcome to participate as an individual Pioneer or start a troop of your own.
Be a Pioneer
Our Pioneer Program is designed for girls who prefer to participate in Frontier Girls individually rather than as part of a troop. A parent or guardian acts as the girl’s leader, and Pioneers can participate in as much of the Frontier Girls program as they wish, earning badges and awards, completing community service, and exploring whatever interests them most.
Being a Pioneer doesn’t mean you have to do everything alone. Pioneers may get together with other Frontier Girls to work on badges, participate in activities, go on outings or campouts, or complete community service projects. They may also participate in activities with a nearby Frontier Girls troop when invited. Pioneers who wish to wear a number on their uniform may use #100, our designation number for independent Pioneers.
Parents of Pioneers are also invited to join our Frontier Girls Forum on Facebook to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with other families using the program.
Are you a Patriot?
The Frontier Girls Patriot Program was created to recognize girls and adults with a direct family member actively serving in the United States military. Military service affects the entire family, and we want to recognize the sacrifices these families make while their loved ones serve our country. Qualifying family members include parents, grandparents, children, siblings, grandchildren, and stepparents.
Patriots may wear the appropriate service flag pin along with a special red, white, and blue Patriot ribbon on their uniform. If the qualifying family member is no longer on active duty, a veteran’s service flag pin may be worn instead.
Patriots are welcome to participate in a regular Frontier Girls troop or as individual Pioneers. Independent Patriots may use either #911, our designation number for independent Patriots, or #100, our designation number for Pioneers. These are designation numbers rather than actual troop numbers.
Quest Clubs
After receiving requests from boys who wanted to earn the same badges as their sisters, we created Quest Clubs as a more flexible alternative to Frontier Girls. Quest Clubs uses the same extensive badge curriculum, but allows each group to create a club that suits its own needs. Clubs may be all boys, all girls, or co-ed and can choose their own name, traditions, uniform, policies, and structure.
For some families, Frontier Girls may not be the right fit. You may be looking for a co-ed program, want something less structured, or simply prefer to create your own traditions. Some Frontier Girls troops also partner with a Quest Club so boys and girls can participate in activities together while still using the program that works best for each of them.
